Misleading headline creates confusion about vegan diets. A recent article circulating the internet seems to imply vegan diets ar healthier for dogs( which are carnivores). Unfortun ately, the headline does not give the full picture. In fact, the study suggests that dogs fed commercial diets (kibble) are the least healthy while dogs on raw meat diets appeared to be healthier than those on vegan diets . Despite the raw fed dogs being healthier by the study’s standards, they decided to disregard that information citing the dogs ages and that raw feeders are “less likely to seek veterinary advice.” The study has consistently been shared with inaccurate headlines.

Indiana animal testing facility exposed. An Inotiv labratory is under fire after an undercover investigator spent 7 months employed at the lab. The investigator worked more than 70 toxicity studies with more than 6000 animals and was witness to much suffering and death. To make the situation worse, liver-chip tests (that do not involve animals) have been shown to better predict drug toxicity than animal testing. Currently, 80 beagle puppies are undergoing toxicity tests with the first round to be killed mid May. The Humane Society has called for their release and for the company to seek out alternative methods.
