Rescues, Rewards & Women Who Feed Real 🐶
Today is International Women’s Day, and it feels like the perfect moment to recognize something special about Real Dog Box.
Our team is proudly made up mostly of women…dog people who spend their days sourcing, crafting, packing, and supporting real food for dogs.
And we’re not alone.
Across the U.S., women make up the majority of pet decision-makers, often leading the research, feeding routines, and nutrition choices for their dogs.
In other words… a lot of the movement toward feeding real food is being driven by women who want better for the dogs in their lives.
So this weekend, we’re celebrating.
Our Secret Shop is running a special promotion:Buy 4 bags, get a free bag of Duck Gizzard.

🐾 Pet Industry Consolidation Is Accelerating
The pet industry continues to evolve rapidly as companies scale operations and expand their reach. Recent moves across the sector highlight a growing trend toward consolidation, investment, and multi-brand strategies.
Veterinary distribution leaders Covetrus and Cencora are deepening ties around MWI Animal Health, reflecting the increasing importance of scale in veterinary supply chains. At the same time, grooming chains and wellness-focused service brands are expanding regionally to meet growing demand from pet parents.
Premium pet nutrition brands are also attracting strong investor interest, as high-quality food and wellness products remain one of the fastest-growing segments of the pet market.
📊 What this means: The pet industry isn’t slowing down. It’s consolidating, professionalizing, and continuing to invest heavily in premium nutrition, services, and wellness for companion animals.

🎤 Feed Real Summit Spotlight: Giving Back with The Animal Pad
One of our favorite traditions at the Feed Real Summit is our partnership with The Animal Pad, a rescue dedicated to saving dogs from high-kill shelters and the streets of Mexico.
Every year, Summit attendees come together for our DIY Dog Food Workshop, where we learn how to build balanced fresh meals using real ingredients.
But the learning doesn’t stop there.
The meals prepared during the workshop are turned into nutrient-dense meatballs and donated to The Animal Pad, helping support rescue dogs who need nourishing food the most.
And of course… we also celebrate with the Summit Puppy Party, where some of those incredible rescue dogs come meet the community.
It’s one of the most special moments of the weekend…we learn while we give.
Want a peek at what it looks like? Check out the reel on today’s Instagram to see it in action 👀
We can’t wait to do it all again this year. Tickets are limited!
