The FDA’s process will independently review safety, while AAFCO’s, managed by Kansas State, charges a $50,000 fee—sparking worries over possible industry influence. Dog owners focused on quality nutrition should stay alert to these developments.

Dog Rescued from 14-Foot Drop in Florida.

Bella, an adventurous pup, had a close call when she tumbled down a 14-foot hidden hole in an open field near Ocala, Florida. 130 Chihuahuas Rescued from Jacksonville Home.

In Jacksonville, Florida, 130 neglected chihuahuas were discovered abandoned in a rental property after the tenants disappeared. The dogs, found in poor condition, were quickly taken to a local shelter, already at capacity, for urgent medical care and support. With over 300 animals already in their care, the shelter now calls for fosters and adopters to help rehome these dogs. Those interested in adopting can visit the shelter or call for more information to help give these chihuahuas a fresh start.

The lawsuit raises concerns about the airline's handling of brachycephalic breeds and the training of its staff. Mr. Contillo seeks compensation for the emotional distress caused by the loss of his beloved pet.
