World's Tallest Dog, Suddenly Passes Shortly After Title.

Kevin, the world’s tallest dog, has sadly passed away at the age of 3, shortly after being officially recognized by Guinness World Records in March. Verified at 3 feet, 2 inches tall, Kevin fell ill and underwent an unplanned surgery but did not survive. Known as a "gentle giant," he brought joy to his family and fans alike, enjoying the attention he received. Though his time was short, Kevin’s loving nature and happy spirit left a lasting impact on everyone who met him.

Voluntary Recall of Dog Treats Due to Metal Contamination.

TDBBS LLC has voluntarily recalled Green Tripe dog treats in collaboration with the FDA, citing potential foreign metal object contamination. The recall impacts 3,551 bags distributed nationwide between February and May 2024 under the Barkworthies and Best Bully Sticks brands. Despite the recall, there have been no reported pet injuries or illnesses associated with the affected products.

Fishermen Rescue 38 Dogs Stranded in Mississippi Lake

Two friends fishing at Grenada Lake, Mississippi, rescued 38 dogs found stranded in the water. Assisted by local guide Jordan Chrestman, they discovered the dogs, equipped with GPS collars, disoriented after a hunting event. The men swiftly pulled the exhausted dogs into their boat, later using a GPS tracker to locate and rescue all 38 hounds. Chrestman's quick actions ensured the safe retrieval of the dogs, who were initially hesitant to leave the boat.

Dog Hospitalized After Drug Ingestion at Local Park.

Abbey, a dog in Anaheim, was hospitalized after ingesting methamphetamine at Stoddard Park. Owner Amy Robbins initially suspected marijuana ingestion but tests confirmed methamphetamine, leading to urgent veterinary care to prevent cardiac issues. Despite reporting the incident, Robbins faced frustration over perceived police inaction. Abbey is expected to recover, but the incident has deeply affected Robbins, who hopes to raise awareness about drug hazards in public areas.

'Wild Thang', an eight-year-old Pekingese from Oregon, won the 2024 World's Ugliest Dog Contest after competing for five years. Despite health challenges from distemper as a puppy, he promotes pet adoption and vaccination awareness.
